Vintage Americana Woods Bros. H&amp;C glass 3lb Coffee canister jar. These were a promotional marketing item made in San Francisco in the late 1960s designed to be reusable and remind consumers to buy their coffee brand and keep in this jar. This jar is in great condition for almost 60 years of age. Thr label shows some wear but is mostly intact and legible. Please zoom in for greater description. Great as collector piece in many categories, farmhouse kitchen design and or storage for most any thing, sugar, flour, cookies etc. 6.5” wide x 8.25” tall. While the jars were made in late 1970 the coffee’s history is much older. <br> <br>In 1927, Harold and Clarence Woods, brothers from Greensboro, North Carolina, established Woods Brother’s Coffee Company in Roanoke, Virginia. They started the company with the simple belief that “Service, Quality and Freshness would sell”. After a brief period, Harold purchased Clarence’s interest in the young company and Clarence returned to North Carolina
