Success: You have added Vintage Figa Carved Stone Hand Amulet & Chain from Brazil - Good Luck Charm to your shopping cart!
Vintage "mano figa" stone amulet from Brazil. Represents a hand gesture believed to ward off evil & bring good luck. Appears to be made of marble (unconfirmed, may be another stone). See photos to decide. The "figa" refers to the hand gesture itself. Associated with protection against the evil eye & promote fertility. The 2 pieces represent duality of the hand gesture. The chain symbolizes connection between the 2, detachment, freedom, incompletion, or vulnerability, or is simply a design choice. The last link attached to the hand is round & the others are oval, indicating it was made in 2 pieces. Hand & attached chain is 5 1/2" long & the hand is 1 1/4" wide. The chain attached to the hand has a natural crack in the outer layer of one of the links and does not go all the way through. Keywords: Vintage figa, mano figa, Brazilian amulet, good luck charm, carved stone, hand gesture, talisman, evil eye protection, fertility, collectible
