Success: You have added Reworked Vintage Sony FM Walkman Headphones - Modified with 3.5mm Aux Input - AS-IS to your shopping cart!
Hi !!! For sale is a converted Sony SRF-HM22 FM/AM Walkman modified to bypass the radio function in order to accept a signal coming through a 3.5mm auxiliary jack (so you can use these with your iPhone or a laptop, for example!)They are 22.5 ohm headphones and should not be problematic to drive over most simple amplifiers like the lighting to aux adapters and laptop headphone jacks from what I've experienced.I'm very new to this and although I've converted a myriad of vintage headphones for my friends I haven't yet tackled a radio headset yet. I always thought those headsets looked cool so I tried my hand at converting one. It was relatively difficult and I struggled with the installation of the physical port, but I managed to cut the hole large enough to work. The tricky thing is that the port had to be near the battery door, so I had to do some finagling to get the port installed and most importantly secure !!! **UNTESTED and SOLD AS-IS.**
