Rare creative Kokeshi doll titled Early Spring "Soushun" by Kenichi Murakami, 5.5" tall, KA017.Very simple but adorable creative kokeshi. Kenichi Murakami is famous for his original cute face kokeshis. Not like the traditional style or just too cute anime-ish face.The body represents the tree trunk peel, shed and regenerate. "Soushun" means early spring in Japanese.Stands 5", 2 1/4" wide. Very good condition, circa 1970's.
