Jo’s Boys by Louis M. Alcott. First edition, 1886.Was given to Major Melvin Nicole then to Elizabeth Frowe when she attended Chicago Art Institute 1894 to 1898. A artist recognized by American Whos Who.She married Mr. Campbell from Hawaii, one of the largest land owners. She won many awards for her art works. I believe I own lots of her earlier paintings and characters that modeled for her.The first edition is nice and clean, needs a little binding done.
