A very lovely, vintage Chinese rosewood jewelry box with tooled or chased brass hardware and carved white jade cartouches. This stunning jewelry box also has a very nicely preserved red silk brocade, padded interior with lot of room for rings and other jewelry! <br><br>There are 3 highly detailed carvings of floral and tree designs in 3 oval shaped white jade inlays on the lid. The box features several pieces of hand tooled brass fittings and hardware on the corners, mounted around the jade mad Italians and decorated throughout including a very beautiful front latch<br><br>The hardware on the front is a bronze etched lotus leaf motif with a hinged latch and a bored hole for a lock. This does not come with a lock however.<br><br>The size is approximately 10 inches wide, 3.25 inches tall and 4 inches deep. The interior has a hinged metal closing mechanism to keep the lid open.<br><br>In excellent vintage condition with only mild abrasions and little surface scuffs on the Rosewood finish.<br><br>#68
