BAVAUTO Automotive diagnostic smoke machine. Use this smoke machine to test for leaks in automotive engine intake systems and evaporative recovery systems. Do you have a P0171 or P0174 fault code? The most common cause for these “system too lean” fault codes is a vacuum leak in the engine’s air intake system or crankcase gaskets. The smoke machine injects smoke into the intake system, under a low pressure. Leaks are identified by the smoke leaking from gaskets, cracked boots, cracked manifolds or valve covers, etc.The BAVauto smoke machine can be used to diagnose and identify vacuum leaks in the engine intake and crankcase systems as well as leaks in the fuel evaporative recovery system (fault codes for evaporative system leaks).The BAVauto Smoke machine is self-contained and includes intake boot adapters, hose, and port plugs.Uses common baby oil (not supplied) to generate smoke.
