Wonderful antique earthenware (pearlware) jug, transfer printed in black with Masonic designs. The large lip and robust body allow for easy pouring even several centuries after its creation. The Masonic overtones of the scene lend it a sombre and distinguished nature; the three women represent hope, faith and charity.
