This is an extremely rare first edition, first printing of “The Locusts Have No King" by Dawn Powell.<br><br><br>Published in 1948 by Charles Scribner's Sons in New York, this is a hardcover book with its original dust jacket.<br><br><br>Good vintage condition:<br><br><br>Book: minor foxing of interior pages, but apparent foxing to exposed right edge of pages. Spine is flexible, but not torn or detached (most obvious wear is pictured on photo of interior back cover).<br><br><br>Dust jacket: completely intact, but has signs of wear, primarily to corners; interior left fold-over has top right corner cut, but no writing was removed. Ink slightly faded due to vintage but still relatively vibrant and title, synopsis, reviews, and illustration entirely readable/visible.<br><br><br>Please see all photos.
